On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the historic Exodus of Messolonghi (1826–2026), the Pagoni Maison des Cravates & Pagoni Moda Group of Companies is proud to announce that the Municipality of the Sacred City of Messolonghi has honored us by appointing us as the official licensee for the creation of collectible anniversary silk accessories, for both silk ties and women’s silk scarves.
The collection is inspired by the spirit of the “Free Besieged” and the heroic legacy of the Exodus.
For the ties, the source of inspiration is the laurel, embroidered in gold on the “Ourania” that covers Theodoros Vryzakis’ painting “The Exodus of Messolonghi” (copy from the workshop of Archdeacon Dimitrios Kasolas, 1933).
For the women’s scarves, the sources of inspiration are three iconic works from the Art Gallery of Messolonghi: “The Exodus of Messolonghi” (T. Vryzakis), “The Woman of Messolonghi” (Charles-Émile Delansac), and “The Explosion of Christos Kapsalis’ Powder Magazine” (T. Vryzakis), as well as the verse “Hail, oh hail, Liberty!” from Dionysios Solomos’ “Hymn to Liberty”.
